About The Position

As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects that span across Industrial Hygiene and Safety within Construction, Facilities & Site Services, and Research & Development. As an integral member of our team, you will immerse yourself in real-world scenarios to gather critical data and insights, analyze your findings, and contribute to important documentation that shapes our safety protocols. You will also enhance your technical skills by performing accurate data entries. Your projects may include air and noise monitoring, SDS/chemical inventory data entry, fall protection equipment assessments, ventilation assessments, facility chemical limit evaluations, and ergonomic assessments. Additionally, you will be involved in identifying occupational hazards and assessing the effectiveness of control measures, gaining invaluable experience in the process. Enjoy a balanced work-life schedule with our 4x10 schedule, working four ten-hour days, and experience the cutting-edge environment of our Materials and Fuels Complex, located 45 miles west of town.

Requirements

  • Enrolled full-time student at an accredited college or university.
  • Seeking or earned degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, or ABET-accredited field.
  • Minimum overall 3.0 Grade Point Average.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. (including CPT and OPT).

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to meaningful projects in Industrial Hygiene and Safety.
  • Gather critical data and insights from real-world scenarios.
  • Analyze findings and contribute to documentation shaping safety protocols.
  • Perform accurate data entries.
  • Conduct air and noise monitoring.

Benefits

  • Compensation for Undergraduate Internships: $26.16/hour - $31.47/hour.
  • Compensation for Masters Internships and PhD Internships Pre-Candidacy: $32.87/hour - $35.26/hour.
