About The Position

Panasonic Energy is seeking ambitious interns to join the world's largest lithium-ion battery initiative. With superior designs and the fastest manufacturing lines in the world, Panasonic Energy invites you to join us in this ongoing full-scale effort to electrify our society. This internship provides exposure to EH&S programs, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The intern will assist in maintaining a safe workplace by supporting inspections, audits, training initiatives, and safety campaigns. This program is designed for motivated students or recent graduates seeking practical experience in industrial hygiene and workplace safety.

Requirements

  • Completion of at least 2 years of full-time enrollment at an accredited four-year college or university and pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or a related field.
  • GPA of 3.2 or higher.
  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Basic knowledge of project management processes and tools.
  • Basic knowledge of EH&S regulations, workplace hazards, and safety standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough inspections and audits.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to write and communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Alignment to Panasonic's seven core principles.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of EH&S policies and procedures.
  • Support the creation and delivery of EH&S training programs for employees.
  • Contribute to safety campaigns, events, and awareness programs to promote a strong safety culture.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with EH&S regulations.
  • Identify workplace hazards and recommend appropriate control measures.
  • Participate in incident investigations, including data collection, analysis, and root cause identification.
  • Compile and analyze EH&S data, prepare reports, and present findings to management.
  • Stay up to date with EH&S regulations, permits, and records to maintain compliance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate EH&S requirements into daily operations.
  • Communicate technical information clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats.
