The Industrial Hygiene Director is responsible for protecting the health and safety of employees by implementing, leading, and managing industrial hygiene (IH) program across the entire company. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred
  • 7-10 years' relevant experience required
  • Must be a Certified Industrial Hygienist (or approved equivalent certification) with thorough knowledge of appropriate regulations
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of the Enterprise industrial hygiene (IH) program, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards
  • Develop appropriate risk assessments and implement appropriate control measures to protect workers' health and safety
  • Develop, lead and maintain Chemical Exposure Management and Industrial Hygiene Programs
  • Lead and participate in the development and implementation of IH programs and processes, including respiratory protection, personal protective equipment, hazard communication, hearing conservation, crystalline silica, combustible dust, SDS program, etc.
  • Serve as a key subject matter expert in IH program and strategy development
  • Develop and manage the industrial hygiene sampling protocol across the entire enterprise
  • Support process to author SDS's across the Enterprise
  • Participate in New Chemical Evaluation Review (NCER)
  • Coordinate with site leadership and the EHS team to communicate survey results and development of action plans to address deficiencies identified in reports
  • Manage consultant(s) conducting sampling and coordinating their visits with site leadership and appropriate EHS personnel
  • Develop a EHS strategy for EHS talent development for the enterprise and implement in coordination with business unit EHS Directors
