This primary function is to provide 24-hour, 7 day a week "skilled trade" Industrial HVAC & Chiller maintenance support to the manufacturing. Support will be provided collaboratively by two team members to ensure continuous coverage, which may include remote or on-call assistance outside of regular working hours. The HVAC Control Technician I performs Test and Balance, HVAC troubleshooting and PM’s for the site. The person also supports facility engineering on commissioning and installation of HVAC upgrades as well as existing control systems, assists other mechanics/environmental technicians with complex HVAC issues outside of their skill level. The technician performs Heating, Cooling, Chiller, and Humidification controls PM.

  • Provide 24/7 Industrial HVAC & Chiller maintenance support to manufacturing.
  • Perform Test and Balance, HVAC troubleshooting and preventive maintenance (PM) for the site.
  • Support facility engineering on commissioning and installation of HVAC upgrades and existing control systems.
  • Assist other mechanics/environmental technicians with complex HVAC issues.
  • Perform Heating, Cooling, Chiller, and Humidification controls PM.
  • Associate’s or Technical Degree in HVAC or Controls preferred.
  • Universal EPA Certification preferred; Type II or Type III EPA Certification.
  • Strong ability to diagnose and solve problems with electronic, digital, and pneumatic controls systems.
  • Knowledge of air and hydronic systems, chillers, boilers, and associated controls.
  • 3 phase electrical knowledge; certifications a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with building automation systems (BAS) such as Johnson Controls (Metasys).
  • Ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing.
  • Professional and polished demeanor when interacting with clients.
  • Strong attention to detail for accuracy in work and documentation.
  • Base pay range of $24.50 – $49.00/hour, with variations in specific locations.
