Heavy Equipment Mechanic needed at our Wabash Specification plant facility. Join our team and work in a challenging and exciting metal industry. Rate is $34.00 an hour with a 12-hour 2-2-3 rotating work schedule from 6a-6p or 6p-6a. Must be able to work day shift and night shift. We are seeking a talented heavy equipment mechanic to keep our plant running smoothly and efficiently. As our new Mobile Equipment Mechanic, you will diagnose, adjust, repair, and overhaul a variety of equipment. Use your experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment to maintain our loaders, forklift trucks, cranes, bulldozers, and man lifts. Ensure all safeguards of equipment are installed as needed to conform to governmental regulations. Maintain safe and environmentally sound behavior and ensure that proper work procedures and practices are followed. Comply with all safety standards and regulations driven by our SAFE culture Read and comprehend operation and parts manuals Must be able to work from elevated levels, operating mobile equipment, pneumatic and electrical hand tools / jacks. Requirements

  • Ability to follow instructions and understand diagnostic tools
  • Reliability of attendance
  • High School diploma or equivalent GED
  • Read and comprehend operation and parts manuals
  • Prior heavy equipment maintenance experience required
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work from elevated levels, operating mobile equipment, pneumatic and electrical hand tools / jacks.
