About The Position

The Industrial Form Carpenter at Denham-Blythe is responsible for performing general construction duties under the guidance of a Superintendent. This role involves designing, building, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures using various materials such as wood, steel, and concrete. The position requires adaptability to different job skills and physical demands based on the state of the construction project.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five to ten years of carpentry experience.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid state driver's license prior to employment.
• Willingness to submit to a Drug Screen and Background Check.

• Carpentry experience of 4 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Independently obtains information from blueprints and/or Superintendent.
• Selects materials for construction tasks.
• Performs various types of demolition work.
• Builds forms, walls, and foundation structures for pouring concrete.
• Installs concrete formwork foundations in early construction stages.
• Works with materials such as metals, wood, plastic, hardware, fiberglass, or drywall.
• Utilizes the correct tools to achieve necessary results.
• Works safely on ladders, scaffolds, and lifts at various heights.
• Checks work to ensure it meets code and specifications.
• Uses levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment for accuracy.
• Builds temporary stairs, railings, ramps, or other safety measures.
• Erects scaffolding in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
• Installs dust partitions, doors, door hardware, and windows.
• Performs framing primarily with wood and occasionally with metal studs.
• Communicates with Superintendent to report unsafe work conditions.
• Completes inspection forms and routes maintenance on equipment.
• Teaches necessary skills to others on the crew and encourages professional growth.
• Collaborates with other Carpenters to recognize and resolve project issues.
