Requirements

  • A minimum of four years combined electrical industry experience including: City Desk, Account Representative, Project Sales, Specialist or Operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Must have a valid state driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Strong understanding of Electric products and Viking Electric services and solutions.
  • Good understanding of the market and competitors and basic financial skills.
  • Must have effective negotiating skills.
  • Strong selling, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate with customers and vendors to obtain orders, meet schedules, enhance profitability, and ensure that each customer uses Viking as their primary source of material.
  • Promote and sell the people, products, and services and solutions of Viking Electric.
  • Tailor a business plan that is appropriate to each customer's business potential and market needs.
  • Work with Account Representatives, Project Team associates, and all other specialists to ensure quality service and resolve customer disputes.
  • Coordinate efforts with the credit department by obtaining the accounts receivable goals.
  • Prospect for new accounts as applicable.
  • Develop strategies to execute a sales growth plan for industrial target customers.
  • Identify and help develop commercial insights related to account base and prospective customers.
  • Proactively reach out to industrial end users to build a customer base and expand Viking Electric business opportunities.
