About The Position

American Crane & Equipment Corporation is seeking experienced Industrial Equipment Manufacturing Electricians to bring their expertise and commitment to quality into our team. This role is essential to our operations, ensuring our equipment's high performance, safety, and reliability while fostering teamwork and mentorship in the electrical department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrician apprenticeship or technical training is preferred
  • 7+ years in a heavy equipment manufacturing environment, with 5+ years at a journeyman or Level II position
  • Hands-on experience in building control panels, bending and installing rigid conduit, and performing advanced electrical installations
  • Advanced proficiency in electrical drawings, National Electrical Code, troubleshooting, and mentorship
  • State electrician's license preferred
  • A safety-focused mindset with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise Level I & II electricians and apprentices
  • Estimate production timelines for electrical work and guide the team in best practices and high standards
  • Champion safety by enforcing strict adherence to safety protocols and ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code and industry standards
  • Execute complex electrical installations with precision, using a range of tools and equipment
  • Perform specialized maintenance tasks to ensure reliability and quality
  • Build and wire control panels to support crane and hoist systems
  • Tackle intricate wiring tasks, such as motor wiring, resistors, push-button stations, and festooning components
  • Fabricate electrical brackets and supports, showcasing your hands-on expertise
  • Bend and install rigid conduit to support electrical installations and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Diagnose and resolve challenging electrical issues within crane systems
  • Employ problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and implement solutions quickly and effectively
  • Partner with engineering to implement design modifications and ensure alignment with assembly specifications
  • Conduct comprehensive testing to confirm the functionality and quality of electrical equipment
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized department conducive to a productive work environment
