To support the implementation of automated material handling equipment into our distribution centers. Typical equipment includes: conveyor, carton / tote sortation, unit picking, unit sortation, case shuttle storage systems. The automation engineering team supports our operations teams at our more automated distribution sites across multiple project phases: design, implementation, testing, go-live, and post go-live. Provides equipment layout and function expert advice to our design and operations teams. Calculates equipment rates and targeted performance Supports equipment punch listing and rate testing Supports warehouse control / execution system software design and test Supports and educates the operations team on how to use the new equipment Performs data analysis of equipment rates and errors Supports the operations team to implement equipment maintenance agreements Develops productivity estimates for processes that interface with material handling equipment
