About The Position

Industrial Engineering Manager- Fabrication Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Fabrication has an exciting opportunity for a First-Line Industrial Engineering Leader (Level K) to support the Industrial Engineering (IE) Integration team in Auburn, WA. As an Industrial Engineering First-Line Leader you will be collaborating with Industrial Engineering leaders and other stakeholders (Operations, BusOps, Supply Chain, BPS, etc.) as we setup the future of Fabrication Industrial Engineering. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. (Auburn, WA) Position responsibilities: Manages employees performing industrial engineering activities associated with technical development, implementation, analysis and improvement activities throughout the business units. Development and implementation of plans, policies and procedures in alignment with business plans, strategies, goals, and objectives. Acquires and coordinates resources for projects and processes and provides technical management of future technologies while looking for process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships with customers, stakeholders, suppliers, peers, partners and direct reports. Align to BCA Industrial Engineering strategies and technologies. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Leads, develops and motivates employees. Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience in Operations/Industrial Engineering
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership

  • Knowledge of BCA Fabrication
  • Experience with developing and implementing the Boeing Production System
  • Use of Systematic Problem Solving
  • Advanced computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, SQL, and Statistical Analysis tools.
  • Experience establishing partnerships and relationships with internal customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports and conveying organizational messages to facilitate the accomplishment of work group, project or process goals.
  • Experience in identifying opportunities to improve work-related products and processes within own work group, project or process and engaging and empowering employees to make process improvements.
