As an Industrial Engineer Intern at Cleveland-Cliffs, the projects assigned will vary based on the intern's education level and plant location, but will generally reflect the duties outlined below.

Requirements

  • Enrollment in Bachelor of Science program in the field of Industrial Engineering or other related technical degree.
  • Completion of at least sophomore year of study by the summer of 2026.
  • Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in studying job descriptions and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units and identify areas of duplication.
  • Assist with work measurement programs and perform time work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
  • Assist with analyzing work force utilization, facility layout and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules.
  • Various other tasks as needed.
