Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2026 Industrial Engineering Intern. This internship will support the Palmdale (PLM) Advanced Development Programs (ADP) Operations Analysis & Core Team. As an intern, you'll work onsite alongside a team of Industrial Engineers who will provide guidance, mentorship, and hands-on training throughout your experience. This internship will provide you with a challenging and rewarding experience, where you'll contribute to staffing plans for the Palmdale (PLM) site, support touch labor estimates for Advanced Development Programs (ADP), and assist with time studies related to F-35 and F-22 parts. You will collaborate with Production Operations, Supervisors, and Leadership, as well as cross-functional support teams.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Familiar with Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies
  • Strong ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio and Project
  • Python, SQL and Industrial Engineering Methodologies

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis
  • VBA programming experience for automation and process improvement
  • Familiarity with CAD tools and engineering design software
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work hands-on with mechanical tools, systems, and processes.
