About The Position

The Industrial Engineer Intern will assist the engineering team in optimizing production processes and improving operational efficiency within Viaflex. This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in industrial engineering principles and practices while contributing to real-world projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field and pursuing graduate level degree program.

Responsibilities

• Complete projects as assigned within internship discipline.
• Attend Viaflex sponsored training and educational seminars.
• Engage and participate in Viaflex sponsored events.
• Work closely with assigned mentor and manager to reach successful completion of internship.
• Provide periodic updates to managers and peers on assigned project(s).
• Complete summer end internship presentation.
• Demonstrates Viaflex Team Member Values in their daily actions and encourages their teams to do the same.
• May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
• Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
• Assist in analyzing current production workflows to identify areas for improvement.
• Collect and analyze data related to production metrics and resource utilization.
• Support the team in ensuring compliance with safety and quality assurance requirements.
• Help create and maintain documentation for process improvements and engineering projects.
