In the Manufacturing Electrical Engineering Co-op position, you will work with the Avionics Integrated Production Teams in the Cedar Rapids, IA facility. This position is for an Electrical Engineering student interested in learning engineering principles used in manufacturing. If selected, you will work side by side with our Manufacturing Electrical Engineers, Production floor technicians/operators, & Manufacturing support/engineering staff, to resolve test flow, product, and quality issues associated with state-of-the-art manufacturing testing techniques. What sets our team apart is their ability and dedication to engage and help our students learn, grow, & develop themselves such that they do not feel like students but rather a direct part of the team. Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run May/June- December (including the Fall semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

  • Directly work with our manufacturing production floor employees including test technicians, operators, inspectors, and quality to solve day to day issue as well as proactively working longer term projects to eliminate reoccurring issues.
  • Involved in analyzing test failures for root causes and corrective actions, partnering with our onsite advanced & industry leading component evaluation lab.
  • Assist in developing and preparing test and diagnostic programs to aid in the troubleshooting of test failures.
  • Help our Electrical Engineers and Test Technicians in conducting studies pertaining to product and test systems issues.
