As an Industrial Engineering Associate Manager, you'll be responsible for leading a team of Industrial Engineers (IEs) within Production Operations supporting our Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) facilities in Manassas. This position will provide data-driven solutions that enable production teams to optimize their manufacturing schedules and costs, as we seek to modernize and accelerate our factories and its functions.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Proven leader, with experience leading a multi-functional team
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of business metrics to drive performance
  • Experienced in process development and continuous improvement

  • Excellent communication skills and experience tailoring presentations to stakeholders and varying levels of leadership
  • Ability to execute intent and operate with minimal direction
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience
  • Ability to attract, develop, and retain talent
  • Experience or familiarity with data tools (Alteryx, Tableau) and software automation (VBA, C#, Python)
  • Experience with production MRP systems (ex., SAP, Solumina, Apriso, etc)
  • Certification in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related
  • Familiarity with labor time estimating and proposal/bidding process

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of IEs focused on continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, HPU reduction, and preventative process improvement
  • Provide training, coaching, and guidance for your staff to ensure their development and success
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (technical / non-technical) to identify, implement, and sustain initiatives and improvements
  • Oversee key process improvement efforts, communicating effectively with stakeholders and team members
  • Lead our touch labor proposal estimating and baselining team
