About The Position

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Engineer II to join the team in Moreno Valley, CA. The Industrial Engineer II role involves the design and development of facilities, work areas, labor management tools, work procedures, process and efficiency improvements making environmental, health, and safety recommendations accordingly. Additionally, the role includes designing equipment or machine layouts to coordinate activities and production planning, project management ensuring products meet quality standards while minimizing production problems and costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience.
  • Proficient in designing and developing facilities and work procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with close attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas, and work procedures.
  • Make environmental, health, and safety recommendations accordingly.
  • Design equipment or machine layouts to coordinate activities and production planning.
  • Develop and maintain process and procedure improvements for maximizing space, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Analyze and optimize processes to reduce waste and energy consumption.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and practices to enhance productivity.
  • Lead and oversee maintenance and facilities projects equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Coordinate with outside services to schedule and perform regular equipment inspections and repairs.
  • Collect data and report auditing metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with industry safety, design standards and guidelines specific to California.
  • Conduct regular meetings with relevant stakeholders to ensure good communication and compliance with policies.
  • Develop and deliver training programs related to operations, environmental, health, and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Provide ongoing support and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Collect and analyze data.
  • Prepare and present reports to management on key performance indicators and compliance status.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Lead or participate in projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and safety.
  • Work with vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards and for operational projects and improvements.
  • Evaluate and select vendors based on guidelines.
  • Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of operations.
  • Promote and support company-wide sustainability goals and objectives.
