Job Description Summary: Analog Devices is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our engineering team in Beaverton, Oregon. This entry-level role (0–2 years of experience) will support fab performance improvements through capacity modeling, factory load management, WIP analysis, cycle‑time improvement, and productivity optimization. The successful candidate will partner with cross-functional teams to analyze factory capacity, identify constraints, and contribute to WIP and cycle‑time reduction efforts using Industrial Engineering best practices. Semiconductor manufacturing exposure and familiarity with factory scheduling software are preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or other engineering discipline
  • Work Experience: 0–2 years of Industrial Engineering experience (internships/co-ops welcome); semiconductor wafer fabrication exposure is a plus.
  • Working knowledge (or coursework) in capacity modeling, throughput analysis, WIP control, and/or cycle‑time engineering.
  • Experience (academic or professional) with data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, and basic statistics.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in cross‑functional teams.

  • This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations; including but not limited to US Government International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), US Export Administration Regulations (EAR), or US Treasury Regulations. If required, placement is contingent on Analog Device's ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and maintenance of factory capacity models, site loadings, and scenario analyses in partnership with senior team members.
  • Assist with cycle‑time improvement initiatives using WIP tracking, bottleneck analysis, line balancing, and constraint identification.
  • Analyze factory utilization (tool productivity, throughput, and staffing assumptions) and help identify improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with functional groups to develop and automate reports and analyses using SQL, Python, Power BI, and statistical methods.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance tools related to capacity modeling, inventory optimization, and cycle‑time tracking under guidance from the team.
  • Prepare operational metrics, performance trend summaries, and recommendations for review with engineering and operations partners.
  • Collaborate with IT, Supply Chain, Process Engineering, Manufacturing, and Equipment Engineering to support cross‑functional improvement projects.
  • Document analyses, methods, and standard work; proactively build knowledge of fab systems, data sources, and Industrial Engineering methods.
