Transform the everyday with us The Electrical Products (EP) Business Unit offers a full range of low-voltage power distribution and control products that deliver safe, reliable, and efficient electrical solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial markets. We are looking for an Industrial Engineer to join our team! This position will be based onsite at our Roebuck, SC manufacturing site. As an Industrial Engineer, you will play a critical role in optimizing processes, enhancing productivity, and ensuring safety within our manufacturing environment. You will be essential for driving efficiency and continuous improvement.

  • Safety and Ergonomics: Identify safety and ergonomic concerns, implementing effective solutions to eliminate or mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a safe work environment.
  • Process Optimization: Implement lean manufacturing principles (6S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
  • Observe, analyze, and optimize existing work methods and processes to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Time studies to identify bottlenecks and improve process flow using techniques such as line balancing.
  • Set time standards based on time studies and MTM analysis.
  • Developing and implementing process improvements and technological upgrades.
  • Designing the layout of facilities and determining personnel requirements.
  • Data-Driven Recommendations: Utilize data analysis to develop cost-saving and time-saving recommendations.
  • Propose modifications to product design, assembly layout, and line staffing.
  • Project Execution: Lead and execute capital projects, ensuring successful implementation.
  • Coordinate project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
  • Training staff for new processes and providing instructions and manuals.
  • Managing process documentation and preparing production reports.
  • Communication and Reporting: Communicate methods, findings, and results effectively to management and associates.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to highlight improvements and project outcomes.
  • Additional Tasks: As assigned, contribute to other related tasks that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related discipline).
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in successfully implementing ergonomics, safety, and productivity projects.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Experience simulating manufacturing systems and processes.
  • Experience with computer programming and/or database management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization.
  • Experience in Industrial Engineering
  • CAD experience (AutoCAD preferred).
  • Experience with SAP (or other ERP systems).
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
