About The Position

Veev is leading the transformation of the construction industry with an innovative approach to modular home construction. Veev’s prefabricated closed-panel systems allow homes to be assembled efficiently on-site while delivering a more sustainable and higher-quality final product than traditional construction. As a new subsidiary of Lennar, Veev leverages the strength and scale of its parent company while maintaining the speed and disruptive approach of its roots as a Silicon Valley-based startup. Veev has developed a vertically integrated approach that involves multidisciplinary collaboration across real estate, design, development, engineering, manufacturing, and construction. The Role We are seeking a highly analytical and systems-driven Industrial Engineer to lead process optimization in a high-variability panelized manufacturing environment focused on light gauge steel wall and floor systems. Unlike traditional repetitive manufacturing, each panel is unique in geometry, MEP integration, and structural requirements. This role requires strong problem-solving capability to design scalable systems that manage variability while maintaining throughput, quality, and cost efficiency. The Industrial Engineer will play a strategic role in bridging design and production to enable scalable prefabrication growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing process optimization, preferably in high-mix or construction manufacturing environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, and data modeling tools.
  • Experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and interpreting Revit/CAD models.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and variability reduction strategies (Statistical Process Control)
  • Experience in using simulation software such as Flexsim, Simul8 or similar.
  • Experience conducting time studies and developing labor standards in variable product fast-paced manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize manufacturing systems for high-mix, low-volume panelized construction where each wall and floor panel differs in design.
  • Develop scalable workflows that reduce variability impact while maintaining takt time and throughput targets.
  • Lead standard work development across variable product families while maintaining flexibility for engineering changes.
  • Conduct time studies and labor modeling in environments with product design variability and forecast high-volume manufacturing capacity.
  • Optimize shop layout using statistical analysis and data-driven decisions.
  • Design digital dashboards and KPI systems for cycle time, labor efficiency, scrap, rework, and first-pass yield.
  • Partner with Engineering, Design review (Revit models), Production, and Supply Chain to align manufacturing capacity with product design intent.
  • Develop simulation models to forecast capacity and labor requirements under changing product mix conditions.
  • Drive Lean initiatives including SMED, 5S, line balancing, and pull systems within prefabrication operations.
  • Implement structured problem-solving (DMAIC, A3) to address process instability and variability-driven inefficiencies.
  • Able to write reports and lead presentations for leadership business case studies and recommend effective solutions.

Benefits

  • Paid vacations, sick, and holidays
  • Health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with matching contributions
  • Subsidized Life insurance, with voluntary option
  • Subsidized Long Term Disability Insurance
  • Pre-tax Commuter Account
