Scope of Position This highly motivated individual, as part of the Engineering Team, will be responsible for driving quality, safety, and process improvements across the facility. The role focuses on implementing Lean Six Sigma principles, supporting EHS programs, and collaborating cross-functionally to enhance operational efficiency. This position reports to the Director of Operations. This role is onsite and based in Oviedo, FL.

  • Lead companywide quality initiatives, perform root cause analysis, and manage/conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with internal standards and customer requirements.
  • Support and contribute to Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs and lead efforts to identify, analyze, and implement safety improvements across the facility.
  • Develop, create, and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes, quality procedures, safety protocols, and compliance-related activities.
  • Create detailed work instructions, job breakdowns, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and training alignment.
  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma (LSS) tools to identify inefficiencies and recommend, support, and implement continuous process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including production, maintenance, engineering, and customer service—to drive operational effectiveness and solve day-to-day issues.
  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the Director of Operations or Company management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering
  • 1+ year(s) of internship experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to use inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.) with GD&T knowledge.
  • Experience with LSS tools and teamwork.
  • Knowledge of general EHS practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
  • LSS Yellow Belt or higher
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and EHS compliance programs.
  • Experience with basic CAD software or layout planning tools
