As an Industrial Engineer at Continental, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the necessary tooling is ordered and built to meet program timing. You will create tools and measures to reduce complexity in the plant, thereby improving process costs in alignment with plant objectives. Your responsibilities will include generating and maintaining procedures and work instructions, ensuring the implementation of measures, and maintaining controls for rubber injection molds. You will also maintain a close and positive working relationship with corporate areas and plant staff to achieve goals and objectives. Additionally, you will be responsible for all mold tools in the plant from the start-up of serial production through to the end of life, taking customer requirements into consideration. You will integrate new activities between R&D and the plant for the industrialization of new products related to mold tooling design, initiate activities for material standardization and product improvement, assist in optimizing existing molded rubber products, monitor QC actions, and assist in the development and adaptations required from customer complaints. Furthermore, you will optimize mold tooling maintenance and lead a highly qualified technical staff by providing both technical and personal guidance.
