About The Position

Siemens Industry is seeking an Industrial Engineer for its Grand Prairie, TX factory. The role focuses on analyzing operations, designing workflows, and optimizing production processes to enhance efficiency and quality in manufacturing. The engineer will apply lean principles, conduct time studies, and lead initiatives to reduce waste and improve overall performance in a high-quality power distribution equipment production environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or greater in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 1 - 2 years' experience as an Industrial Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and experience applying lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment as an Industrial Engineer.
  • Experience simulating manufacturing systems and processes.
  • Experience with SAP or similar MRP system.
  • AutoCAD or similar software proficiency.
  • 6 Sigma certification.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze operations and design workflows and production processes.
  • Reduce inefficiency and ensure final products meet quality standards.
  • Document and measure performance of manufacturing processes.
  • Introduce new products and improve production lines.
  • Implement capital expenditures and cost-saving measures.
  • Apply lean principles to optimize manufacturing processes for safety, efficiency, and quality.
  • Perform detailed time studies to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct value stream mapping and lead Kaizen events to eliminate waste.
  • Develop documentation and deliver training on lean tools such as 5S and Kaizen.
  • Collect and analyze data to support decision-making and process improvements.
  • Identify and implement strategies to reduce waste in materials, time, and processes.
  • Lead and manage projects aimed at improving manufacturing processes, including project plans, timelines, and budgets.
