About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking an Industrial Engineer (Mid-Level or Lead) to join the Boeing Additive Manufacturing (BAM) organization in Auburn, WA. The selected candidate will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and training on shop floor capacity plans; creating and maintaining integrated master schedules, maintaining detail schedules; providing rational for schedule variance; tracking of parts through the project lifecycle; maintaining factory layout designs; optimizing new and existing equipment placement in the factory floor plans; process improvements; and optimizing factory flow. BAM is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level and Lead Industrial Engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 3+ years of experience with production systems design
  • 3+ years of experience with shop floor capacity planning
  • 3+ years of experience monitoring and tracking execution of daily plans' and communicating status to all project participants
  • Experience with Production Schedules and Logic Networks

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in additive manufacturing
  • Jira project management application experience
  • Project Web Application (PWA) experience
  • Experience (BCA and BDS) working and supporting Quality Management System (QMS)

Responsibilities

  • Apply industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements
  • Develop plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations and work flows
  • Design, maintain, and optimize the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel
  • Conduct work flow design and analysis
  • Develop models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders and customers
  • Research, design, develop, improve, and implement processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for large scale systems integration and asset utilization
  • Create product assembly instructions and standardizes assembly practices
  • Prepare operations plans, includes work statement analysis, budgeting and forecasts, capacity and constraint analysis and production change, to ensure technical goals and objectives are met
  • Provide production, supply chain logistics, performance visibility and recovery planning support
  • Ensure compliance with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic guidelines
