About The Position

The position involves assisting in the preparation, execution, and follow-up to support Supervisors/Managers in sustaining changes implemented during Rapid Continuous Improvement events. This role does not have supervisory responsibilities but requires collaboration with co-workers across departments to maximize production efficiencies.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in Engineering college working on Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing practices and procedures.
  • Previous Lean/Six Sigma experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, as well as manufacturing software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with co-workers.

Responsibilities

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrates punctuality, regular attendance, professionalism towards supervisors and co-workers, and self-directed task completion.
  • Maintains a clean work area.
  • Complies with all departmental SOP's, company GMP's, Employee Handbook Policies, and safety rules and standards.
  • Works normal shift hours and overtime as required.
  • Coordinates efforts as part of the team to assist all co-workers in maximizing production efficiencies.
  • Leads/facilitates the preparation and execution of improvement activities, including training, data collection, event logistics, and developing mechanisms to measure and monitor success.
  • Assists in identifying potential events and lean implementation strategies.
  • Develops, configures, and optimizes industrial processes from inception through to start-up and certification.
  • Assesses processes, measures/gathers data, and interprets data.
  • Develops best practices, routine, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality output.
  • Provides process documentation and operating instructions.
  • Works to understand the use and application of Lean tools and principles in both production and non-production environments.
  • Assists in training others in Lean principles.
  • Assists with information technology production projects.
  • Liaises and collaborates with engineering and IT staff to resolve production-related issues.
  • Develops detailed production plans and ensures execution based on customer requirements.
