About The Position

The Industrial Engineering Intern at Texas Instruments will assist in evaluating and supporting manufacturing operations. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced Industrial Engineers, participate in Lean manufacturing activities, and identify areas for improvement in cycle time using Factory Physics theories. Interns will analyze operational performance gaps and develop reports based on their findings.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, System Engineering, or Operations Research
• Minimum Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA
• Ability to work in clean room environment wearing smock

Responsibilities

• Support FAB capacity modeling activities
• Support equipment throughput analysis in clean room environment
• Participate in production scheduling and dispatching rules development activities
• Gather information required to understand capacity analysis and production impact
• Collect and validate operational performance data via strong analytic methods on automation and system logs to analyze throughput impact of various process requirements
• Support automating data extraction and manufacturing processes
• Extract and analyze large data sets
• Work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
• Basic coding opportunity to develop applications supporting manufacturing needs
