About The Position

TRIGO Global Quality Solutions has an immediate opening for an Industrial Engineer Intern in Greer, SC. Overall Purpose Design production layouts and processes with the purpose of increasing productivity, eliminating wastefulness, reducing costs, and ensuring quality standards are maintained. Support the engineering team in analyzing and improving production layouts and processes. Promote positive changes and training at site. Support and contribute to the company Quality Policies and QMS. Reports to Director of Operations

  • Relevant coursework, academic projects, or previous internships in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering are preferred.

  • Currently pursuing or recently enrolled in a B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Client relationship & Business development Assist as a supporting contact for TRIGO engineering services within site.
  • Support efforts to ensure client satisfaction and help build solid relationships.
  • Assist with communication between internal teams and external customers when required.
  • Operations Assist with tracking engineering-related costs and help prepare reports related to engineering missions to the customer.
  • Support engineering assessments/audits as per guidelines.
  • Help monitor site engineering missions to ensure proper documentation and information are maintained.
  • Assist in ensuring engineering tools and equipment are up-to-date with accurate information.
  • Participate in Production Team meetings as assigned.
  • Support the implementation of LEAN practices (VSM, Continuous flow, Workplace organization 5S, Cycle time, takt time studies, Ergonomics, Waste identification, TPM program).
  • Assist with Kaizen events to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Support the development and updating of work instructions and assist with training team members when needed.
  • Assist with designing and improving work areas and layouts to improve ergonomics, reduce repetitive motions, and eliminate inefficient methods.
  • Demonstrates commitment to reduce the risk of workplace accidents.
  • Must comply with local and company Health & Safety legislation, laws, and policies.
  • Organization & management Develop presentations and participate in meetings when required, including internal team meetings and project discussions.
  • Assist with monitoring services provided within the site on a daily basis.
  • Support site teams with engineering-related service activities.
  • Promote workplace improvements and development.
  • Technical Assist with defining problems, collecting data, and supporting root cause analysis.
  • Support analysis of production processes to improve utilization of materials, production facilities, and personnel.
  • Other Any other duties as assigned
