About The Position

This full-time internship in the Summer of 2026 offers the opportunity to gain experience in Industrial Engineering at Albaugh’s manufacturing facility in St. Joseph, Mo. This role will have an emphasis on improving organization, workflow efficiency, and inventroy management processes. This is an excellent opportunity for hands-on application of engineering studies for career readiness in engineering or related areas.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineer or a related field.
• Completing Junior year of degree.
• Strong attention to detail and organization, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Basic analytical and problem-solving skills, including data collection and analysis.
• Adaptable and flexible, able to succeed in fast-paced environments with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
• Available to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Improve organization, workflow efficiency, and inventory management processes
• Research and evaluate robotic forklift solutions and other automation opportunities
• Develop concepts for enhanced security measures and optimized traffic flow
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including production, quality, supply chain, and engineering
• Prepare reports, charts, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations
• Follow safety, quality, and company standards
