About The Position

The Industrial Engineer III leads the design and industrialization of scalable manufacturing systems for new products. This role partners closely with Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, and Operations to ensure products are designed, launched, and ramped with efficient, robust, and cost-effective manufacturing processes. This position plays a critical role in New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, production ramp planning, and factory system design, influencing manufacturing strategy from early concept through volume production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or related roles
  • Demonstrated experience leading NPI industrialization efforts
  • Proven experience designing manufacturing systems and production lines
  • Strong expertise in DFM, value stream analysis and production capacity modeling
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at varying stages of development

  • Master of Science in Industrial Engineering or Operations
  • Experience in factory design layout

Responsibilities

  • Lead industrialization planning for new product programs from concept through launch.
  • Evaluate manufacturing technologies, equipment, and automation opportunities.
  • Develop scalable, flexible production architectures to support growth and product mix changes.
  • Design manufacturing cells, production lines, and material flow.
  • Lead plant layout development for new products, line expansions, or facility growth.
  • Define automation strategies for high-mix, variable-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Perform capacity analysis and production ramp planning.
  • Lead zero-run builds and Manufacturing Production Process Review (MPPR) readiness activities.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes meet quality, throughput, cost, and safety targets.
  • Drive improvements in process capability, yield, and operational robustness.
  • Partner with Product Engineering early in the design phase to influence manufacturability.
  • Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input and risk assessments.
  • Lead or significantly contribute to global initiatives that drive cross-site consistency and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a liaison to Corporate Industrial Engineering, influencing standards, tools, and methodologies.
  • Mentor junior engineers, technicians, and project team members.
  • Lead major manufacturing improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Develop and deploy manufacturing best practices across product lines and facilities.
  • Support lean manufacturing efforts and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
