About The Position

As an Industrial Engineer, you will act as a Process Improvement Manager - you’ll impact and help drive efforts of process improvement teams to meet project goals. You may serve in a Division-wide role to reapply standards and learnings across a network of stores. Once you're eligible, you'll become an Owner in the company, so we're looking for commitment, hard work, and focus on quality and Customer service. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field
  • 2+ years minimum of industrial engineering experience
  • Lean, Six Sigma background – experience, knowledge or certification
  • Mainframe experience
  • PC software experience with MS Office Suite
  • Experience in AutoCAD and time study software tools
  • Warehouse management system experience
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to travel – DFW, Austin, Houston, SA – preferred living location Houston
  • Function in a fast-paced office environment
  • Travel by car or airplane with overnight stays
  • Sit for extended periods of time
  • Work extended hours
  • Work in either a hot or cold environment for the duration of shift
  • Move throughout assigned work areas assigned work areas

Responsibilities

  • Performs analysis and drives innovation & process improvement plans
  • Understands how to create and implement payroll standards
  • Serves as project leader; coordinates efforts of cross-functional teams
  • Fosters a root cause elimination / waste-reduction mindset; drives methodical problem-solving based on facts and information to fix root causes (vs. symptoms)
  • Benchmarks internally with a focus on best practices to continually learn and introduce / update processes and methods
  • Facility layouts: Evaluates existing capacity utilization; leads solutions based on short- / long-term needs
  • Drives integration of operational excellence pillars
  • Effectively communicates and works with all management levels, hourly Partners, and corporate leaders
  • Assists in identifying, defining, and tracking engineering projects
  • Monitors project status; provides regular project status updates to leaders and management
  • Identifies issues and recommends solutions with guidance from Leaders
