The Co-op term is from August to December, 2026. Full time requirement (40 hours per week). Purpose: Manufacturing Supply Chain Co-Op Program at Johnson and Johnson Texas A&R is a comprehensive learning and professional experience at one of the world’s leading health care companies. This program is designed to build a future pool of candidates for full-time entry-level Production and Engineering Analyst roles, which a Co-op Season may pursue upon successfully completing the internship and their degree program. Program Components: You will apply for one overall Texas A&R Co-Op position which will provide eligibility for specific department opportunities across Manufacturing functions. The average duration is 5 months of full-time work. Position offers to work in-site in our Irving location 5 days a week. The position may involve a range of manufacturing assignments and may include experiences with one or more of the following departments: Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality.

Requirements

  • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related fields.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Experience working in a professional environment.
  • Demonstrated passion for a career in the Manufacturing Supply Chain industry, and enthusiasm for working in a manufacturing environment while connecting and driving results across different departments.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset—able to engage cross-functional stakeholders and present findings clearly.
  • Ability to assess issues and opportunities, establish priorities, and act with a sense of urgency.
  • Experience with MS Office tools, including Advanced Excel.
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of and/or hands-on experience with Lean manufacturing concepts (e.g., 5S, Kaizen), time studies, and line balancing is highly desirable.
  • Previous internship/coop and/or academic research experience is preferred.
  • Extracurricular involvement in student associations or organizations is a plus.
  • Knowledge or experience with visualization tools and data analytics.
  • Knowledge of Power BI or Power Apps is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Assign and execute one of the Supply Chain projects that increase process efficiencies, reduce cycle time, cost, and improve overall quality of execution within assigned department using project management methodologies (I.E. FPX).
  • Make significant improvements in the assigned areas by using process excellence methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma).
  • Undertake and successfully complete simple or basic project/product development tasks to include any of the following: writing and/or verifying specifications, maintaining product/process documentation, testing processes, equipment, raw materials and product, and validating equipment and processes.
  • Assist in creating concepts and designs/approaches for new products/processes/test methods.
  • Prepare standard reports/documentation to communicate results.
  • Comply with all environmental, safety and occupational health policies (i.e., ISO14001 & OSHAS 18001).
  • Ensure personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties assigned as needed and based on the project assignment.
  • Work hands-on in a manufacturing environment and actively collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams.
  • Apply practical application of Lean manufacturing principles—such as waste reduction, continuous improvement, and process standardization—along with conducting time studies and implementing line balancing to improve throughput and efficiency.
  • Present results to the Mentor Leadership Team at the end of the program.
