About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineering Spring/Summer Coop position will work with the integrated product team in our Melbourne, FL facility. This position is for a student who is majoring in Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace, and Electrical Engineering who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run May/June- December (including the Fall semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).

Requirements

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Designs and plans layout for assembly and materials handling.
• Participates and may help plan sequence of operations and specification procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
• Assist in development of manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.
