About The Position

Get onboard with our Decorah Engineering operations team and play a part in optimizing our innovative product lines which include Fire Protection, Radio Navigation, Weather Radar and Communication systems. In this dynamic environment, you will have the opportunity to network across our businesses and functions, all while improving the productivity, quality and efficiency of our operations worldwide. Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run May - December (including the Fall semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).

Requirements

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status).

Nice To Haves

• Proficient knowledge in 3D-Modeling.
• Experience with continuous improvement principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist and provide guidance regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize process equipment and manufacturing techniques.
• Develop tooling and fixtures to continuously improve our manufacturing processes.
• Assist in planning the allocation of resources, materials, and personnel to optimize utilization of assets.
• Perform research and engineering functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification of electronic or electro-mechanical devices.
