Industrial Energy Advisor
About The Position
Leidos seeks an Industrial Energy Advisor to support our utility energy-efficiency program that promotes energy efficiency with industrial facilities located in Wisconsin. This exciting position offers a unique career opportunity for a dynamic person who possess excellent outreach, technical, communication, and organizational skills to support energy efficiency projects as part of our team. Location: Candidate would ideally be located within the Madison WI area. Candidate will be supporting areas within Dane County and areas in the Southwestern region of Wisconsin.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical degree with four plus (4+) years of prior relevant experience in industrial environments OR Masters' degree in engineering or related technical degree with two plus (2+) years of prior relevant experience
- May consider additional years of prior relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Self-starter and self-motivated
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
- This position requires a valid driver's license and physical ability to perform field verification of pre and post installation of energy efficiency measures
Nice To Haves
- Seven plus (7+) years of relevant experience in energy management with industrial manufacturing
Responsibilities
- Work within our program team to help manufacturing plants identify efficiency opportunities, calculate energy savings, and estimate efficiency program incentives
- Develop and maintain relationships with assigned customer accounts
- Work closely with facility managers, facility and manufacturing engineers, and energy engineers to encourage energy efficiency investments in their facilities
- Develop relationships with vendors to keep current on energy efficiency technologies and practices
- Provide effective organization and communication for program delivery
- Perform field verification of pre and post installation of energy efficiency measures
