A day in this role At Alliance Laundry Systems, integrity and teamwork fuel everything we do. Picture arriving at 3:00 pm for second shift, opening your CMMS, and prioritizing work orders. One hour you’re tracing a PLC input to a sensor, the next you’re installing a new breaker and conduit run for a line upgrade. You might swap brushes and an armature on a motor, mount a transformer, or bring a lighting circuit online by following the diagram to the letter. You’ll keep an eye on safety, watching freshly installed equipment for hazards or performance issues, and collaborate with your Group Leader and teammates to keep production moving. What you’ll tackle Design minor electrical circuits and perform testing/troubleshooting on PLC, electrical, and electronic control systems for machinery. Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Install electrical/electronic controls on equipment using schematics and blueprints as your guide. Apply knowledge of electrical power and facility water distribution systems. Carry out basic mechanical repairs alongside electrical work. Perform work covered by lower classifications and, at times, provide direction to those team members. Dismantle electrical machinery and replace failed electrical or mechanical components, including brushes and armatures. Install and then monitor electrical systems for hazards, needed adjustments, or replacement. Interpret blueprints and work effectively from sketches or verbal instructions. Lay out, assemble, install, test, repair, and adjust fixtures, apparatus, wiring, and new services such as panels, breakers, and conduit. Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures; complete circuits per diagram specifications. Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits and equipment with the proper tools and test instruments. Support additional tasks as directed by the Group Leader.
