About The Position

Inland Empire Paper Company is a state-of-the-art paper manufacturing facility in Spokane, Washington. We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to plan and execute complex equipment maintenance. The selected candidate will work with other Maintenance and Operations personnel to safely and efficiently troubleshoot and repair process-related challenges by testing, tuning, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment in a heavy industrial environment. This includes low and medium voltage AC and DC motors, motor controls, switchgear, variable frequency drives, and PLCs.

Requirements

• Ability to perform all work safely.
• Can-do attitude.
• 2 year degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent experience and/or apprenticeship.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform essential functions of working in a heavy industrial environment.
• Strong diagnostic skills and willingness to learn new equipment and procedures.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Familiarization with the National Electrical Code.

Nice To Haves

• Medium voltage experience is preferred, but not required.
• Washington EL01 or EL07 preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install, start-up, test, inspect, repair, program, tune, maintain and calibrate electrical equipment in a heavy industrial environment.
• Troubleshoot and repair process-related challenges.
• Work with other Maintenance and Operations personnel.
• Maintain safety standards while performing all work.
