About The Position

Outokumpu is on the lookout for experienced Industrial Electricians to become part of our dynamic and growing team in Calvert, Mobile County Alabama. Requirements

  • 3 years of experience as industrial/manufacturing electrician.
  • I/E Degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives.
  • Knowledge of Motors and Motor control stations and Instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems (ABB, Siemens, P80i) preferred.
  • Must be able to read electrical drawings.
  • Experience with installing conduit.
  • Must be able to use various meters (Voltmeter, Hart communicator, Scope).

  • Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics and technical documents.
  • Ability to perform electrical tests, read results and diagnose and repair electrical problems.
  • Clear and effective communication skills are essential for coordinating with team members and supervisors.
  • Attention to detail. Thoroughness and attention to detail are crucial for ensuring accurate operations and preventing errors.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the proper electrical performance and operation of all equipment within the Cold Rolling Works area.
  • Maintain the functionality of power distribution within the Cold Rolling Works.
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities.
  • Assemble, install, and maintain electrical and electronic control systems.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting skills during upset conditions.
  • Collaborate with Electrical Coordinators and Engineers as needed to diagnose electrical problems and determine how to resolve them.
  • Record malfunctions in SAP with details of the issue.
  • Support Operations as needed to meet business objectives.
  • Support implementation of Best Practices and Continuous Improvement for the Cold Rolling Works.
  • Maintain environmental and safety compliance requirements.
  • Identify safety/environmental hazards and opportunities for improvement, be part of the solution.
  • Any other activities that may be required, or requested, to support the business.
