The City of Fresno is currently looking for a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team. Under supervision, Industrial Electricians perform skilled electrical work in the installation, maintenance, overhaul, repair, and testing of power generating, transmission and distribution equipment, utility protective relays and controls, rotating equipment and their associated controls including variable frequency drives, PLC based controls, devices, and systems, standby and emergency power sources and other electrical equipment found in industrial facilities. The comprehension of a high voltage electrical vehicle charging infrastructure and distribution is desired. The current vacancy exists in the Department of Public Utilities, Wastewater Management Division. Immediate and future vacancies will be filled from this eligible list for a period of three (3) months from the date the eligible list is created, with the option of extending that period for up to a maximum of two years at the City's discretion.
