About The Position

The position involves troubleshooting and repairing, as well as installing and maintaining electrical and instrumentation systems and controls. Key responsibilities include working with various electrical systems such as VFDs, 480VAC – 15KV switchgear, instrumentation, PLCs, 480VAC 3 phase motors, 4160VAC motors and soft starts, control valves and actuators, pneumatic systems maintenance and repair, and lighting maintenance and repair. The role also includes participating in a Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program, collaborating with operations personnel to identify and prioritize maintenance needs, and recording work results and parts usage in a maintenance management system. The job requires the ability to cross-train in instrumentation and involves moderate to high physical exertion, with up to 85% of the time spent walking, standing, climbing, bending, or stooping. Work is performed in elevated and confined spaces, as well as in indoor and outdoor environments. This position reports to the instrument/electrical maintenance supervisor.

Requirements

  • Two-year technical degree or higher in Industrial Maintenance.
  • Minimum three years of Journeyman Level Electrical experience in an industrial environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical/instrumentation equipment.
  • Experience using a PC for drawings and information related to equipment.
  • Experience reading technical diagrams and schematics.
  • Experience with 3 phase and single-phase electrical repair/troubleshooting up to 480VAC.
