About The Position

This hands-on role focuses on the electrical installation, servicing, fault-finding, and commissioning of overhead cranes and lifting equipment across industrial sites. You’ll work on a variety of equipment and control systems, supporting both breakdown and scheduled maintenance, while ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Requirements

  • Qualified Industrial Electrician (A-Grade Electrical Licence)
  • Restricted maybe considered.
  • Experience with overhead cranes, hoists, or heavy industrial equipment (highly regarded)
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with VSDs, PLCs, and industrial control systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong safety focus and attention to detail
  • Current C driver’s licence
  • EWP, Working at Heights, Rigging, or High Risk licences (advantageous but not essential)

Responsibilities

  • Electrical installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead cranes and associated equipment
  • Fault finding and diagnostics on motors, control panels, drives, PLCs, and pendant/radio controls
  • Commissioning new crane installations and upgrades
  • Performing breakdown response and preventative maintenance
  • Interpreting electrical schematics and technical documentation
  • Ensuring all work complies with Australian Standards, WHS requirements, and company procedures
  • Communicating clearly with customers and internal teams regarding job progress and issues
