About The Position

Seeking experienced Industrial Electrical Superintendents with wastewater treatment plant experience in Port St. Lucie, FL. MUST be able to work out of town and nights, on occasion. Superintendent Responsibilities: Oversee the operations of crews of electrical apprentices, industrial electricians, and electrical foremen. Work closely with the project foreman and project manager to ensure the efficient and successful completion of projects from start to finish. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes. Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of all systems. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Proficient in Blueprint reading.
  • Understanding of one-line diagrams and PLCs.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of industrial electrical experience Required
  • Minimum of 7+ years of supervising experience Required
  • MUST be able to work out of town and nights, on occasion.

Nice To Haves

  • Class A CDL Preferred
  • Wastewater and Water Treatment Plant experience
