About The Position
Sofidel America of Haines City, FL is currently seeking an Industrial Electric & Instrument Technician to join our maintenance team. This position requires the ability to work a 12-hour rotational shift, alternating between days and nights, in a hot environment. We are looking for a candidate who is local to the area and is interested in a long-term role within a stable environment that offers opportunities for growth. With manufacturing plants across several states, we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and innovation. The Industrial Electric & Instrument Technician will play a crucial role in supporting the continuous improvement of our preventive maintenance programs and ensuring the reliability of our equipment. In this role, you will engage in preventive and predictive maintenance activities throughout the facility, participate in troubleshooting efforts to address equipment failures and process deficiencies, and conduct root cause analysis to minimize unplanned shutdowns. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems, interpreting blueprints and schematics, and ensuring that all control documentation is current and accurate. Additionally, you will initiate and complete work orders and requisitions, maintaining thorough documentation of all critical information.
