About The Position

The Industrial Designer at Cascade Designs will be a key member of the Product Development Team, responsible for driving design continuity and direction across various projects. This role involves 2D and 3D sketching, modeling, and surfacing, as well as conceptualization and ideation of products. The designer will leverage their knowledge of the entire design process and product lifecycle to create successful products that resonate with users and meet market demands.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in product design, preferably in the outdoor consumer product market.
• Bachelor's degree in industrial design or a closely related field, or relevant work and design experience.
• Strong knowledge of the entire design process and product lifecycle.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes, particularly in fabric, metal manufacturing, or plastic injection molding.
• Experience with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks or Rhino.

Responsibilities

• Formulate or maintain a strong design language for each brand and ensure alignment of new projects with this direction.
• Communicate design messaging to internal customers.
• Create and maintain the seasonal color palette for each brand, translating colors across finishes and materials.
