About The Position

PA Consulting operates as a unified global team of strategists, innovators, designers, consultants, scientists, engineers, and technologists helping clients drive innovation. We’re a collective of problem solvers, creators, and makers who transform ideas into reality. Our US-based design team in San Francisco (formerly Astro Studios) has shaped design culture for decades through solutions that blend technology, lifestyle, and design. We’re seeking an entry level industrial designer to join our team. As an entry‑level Industrial Designer at PA, you will be expected to apply your highest creative and analytical capabilities to the design of products, interactions, and services for our clients. Your role will vary based on project requirements and may include researching design trends and identifying key design challenges, contributing to client presentations, participating in brainstorming sessions, and developing concepts through detailed design refinement. You will use traditional design tools—such as sketching, CAD, and KeyShot—to explore ideas; create hands‑on mockups, models, and prototypes; and develop and manage CAD databases, including color/material/finish specifications and design‑control communications for downstream engineering phases. You will also have opportunities to leverage generative AI tools (e.g., Midjourney, Vizcom, Copilot) to accelerate ideation, expand visual exploration, and support early‑stage concept storytelling. You will gain experience across the full design process while contributing to internal initiatives that build technical skills and bring innovative ideas to life. Throughout these efforts, you will engage with clients, vendors, partner organizations, and internal teams as an industry‑leading professional and representative of PA—building relationships, strengthening our reputation for creativity and delivery excellence, and contributing to a design process that is collaborative, rewarding, and fun.
