About The Position

Select is looking for an experienced Industrial Designer to join our creative department in Burlington, VT. The ideal candidate is a skilled technical designer but with a focus on ideation and high-level creative output. An industrial designer on the creative team will be focused on how projects come to life from an aesthetic, functional, and problem-solving perspective by finding and developing innovative, functional, and on-trend solutions for our brand partners. Requirements

• Proven ability in sketching and visualization skills.
• Requires a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work, including conceptual sketches and 3D renderings.
• Must be a lateral thinker that is able to see problems from different angles and generate creative solutions and communicate effectively.
• Comfortable and confident working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• 3-5 years of Industrial Design or relevant work experience.
• Must be willing to work in-person at our Burlington, VT headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts and ideate through creating high-impact sketches, 3D modeling, and renderings.
• Work seamlessly across a wide variety of clients and projects - primarily in the areas of POS displays, apparel, and custom product development.
• Fluidly collaborate and work cross-departmentally throughout the creative process.
• Build upon and materialize creative concepts through added critical thinking and problem solving.
• Conduct research to stay updated on market and industry trends to inform design decisions while continuously seeking out fresh perspectives and approaches.
