Industrial Design Intern - Boston (February 2026)
About The Position
PA Consulting operates as a unified global team of strategists, innovators, designers, consultants, scientists, engineers, and technologists helping clients drive innovation. We’re a collective of problem solvers, creators, and makers who transform ideas into reality. Our US-based design teams in Boston (formerly Essential Design) have shaped design culture for decades through solutions that blend technology, lifestyle, and design. We’re seeking a paid, in-person intern to join our team - candidates with strong problem-solving skills who can contribute at every stage of the design process U.S. citizenship is required for this internship to comply with security clearance regulations. All candidates must include a portfolio with their resume/application. Start Date: February 2026 Duration: 3 months Salary: $27-$35/hr
Requirements
- Currently studying or recently graduated in Industrial Design or adjacent field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and passion for creative exploration.
- Portfolio demonstrating storytelling, process documentation, wide-ranging concept exploration, creative solutions, and aesthetic sense.
- Great communication and visualization skills.
- 2D design skills: Analog and digital sketching, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- 3D modeling and rendering experience (SolidWorks and KeyShot preferred).
- Prototyping proficiency with the ability to integrate feedback.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Clear, well-documented design process.
- Ideation and concept development.
- Model-making proficiency.
- Distinct point of view!

- Interest in Generative AI application is a plus (Midjourney / Vizcom / Copilot).
