About The Position

Galvion designs, develops, and manufactures ballistic helmets and dynamic power and data management solutions for the modern battlefield. We are a passionate, global, and fast-paced team working with several strategic partners and are committed to enhancing the overall agility and survivability of the modern warfighter and tactical operator. THE INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY Galvion’s competitive summer internship program provides the opportunity to work independently and as part of a team on a wide array of projects that have a direct impact on our organization. Interns will gain practical work experience and growth and development opportunities while experiencing great exposure to our industry. Our interns are embedded in multiple areas of our business and will be assigned a mentor to be their guide for the duration of the program. Internships are approximately 12+ weeks in length, from May to August 2026. During this internship you will help with Industrial Design specific concept generation & product development and may create prototypes & mock-ups.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Industrial Design.
• An interest in the application of design approach to user-centric product development.
• Well-developed computer skills; must be proficient in SolidWorks, Photoshop, Illustrator and Microsoft Office.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well effectively and collaboratively with others in the organization.
• Strong attention to detail and a desire to learn.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Participate in product development efforts, from the creation of early concepts to the final technical data package release for production.
• Bring innovative concepts and a fresh view on military protective equipment.
• Clearly communicate his/her concepts using sketches, renderings and functional mock-up and prototypes.
• Create 3D CAD models & 2D technical drawings and specifications.
