About The Position

The Controls Technician for Building Management Systems Industrial Electrical systems will be responsible for completing service calls in addition to working on larger projects under the direction of a project manager or controls engineer.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in the controls field; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
• Controls Technician, Instrumentation Technician, Electronics Technician or similar diploma obtained from an accredited educational institution or meet the equivalent requirements as established by Saskatchewan Applied Science Technologists and Technicians (SASTT)
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills
• Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen, and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV, criminal history)
• Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
• Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned

Nice To Haves

• Prior military experience
• Previous experience with Alerton controls
• Previous experience with DDC, PLC or similar Ladder-Logic programming
• Previous experience with Microsoft Visio

Responsibilities

• Install DDC (Direct Digital Control) controllers
• Perform Electrical Controls Duties in an Industrial setting
• Read & review control specifications and diagrams
• Assist with wiring and installation of unit accessories
• Performs other duties as assigned
