About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Controls Engineer to design, program, and support automation and control systems within a manufacturing or industrial environment. This role will focus on PLC/HMI programming, system integration, and troubleshooting , supporting both new equipment and existing production systems. This is a hands-on engineering role working closely with operations, maintenance, and project teams to improve automation, reliability, and overall plant performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering
• Strong experience with:- PLC programming (Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens) HMI/SCADA systems Electrical troubleshooting and controls systems
• Project Management
• PLC Programming Experience

Nice To Haves

• Experience in manufacturing, machine building, or system integration environments
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.)
• Experience with robotics (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA)
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical or other design tools

Responsibilities

• Controls Design & Programming Design and develop PLC and HMI programs for industrial equipment and processes Program and troubleshoot systems using platforms such as:- Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation / Studio 5000) Siemens (TIA Portal / Step 7) Configure and support SCADA systems (Ignition, FactoryTalk, WinCC, etc.) Develop and maintain control logic, I/O mapping, and system documentation
• System Integration & Commissioning Support integration of new equipment, machines, and automated systems Assist with startup, commissioning, and debugging of control systems Work with cross-functional teams to ensure systems meet performance and safety requirements Provide onsite or remote support during system installation and launch
• Troubleshooting & Support Diagnose and resolve issues related to PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and instrumentation Support maintenance teams with advanced electrical and controls troubleshooting Improve system uptime and reliability through root cause analysis
• Electrical & Controls Engineering Interpret and develop electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams Work with components such as:- Motors (single and three-phase) VFDs and servo systems Sensors, relays, and control devices Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards
• Continuous Improvement Identify and implement improvements to enhance automation, efficiency, and process reliability Support upgrades, retrofits, and modernization projects Document system changes and maintain accurate records
