About The Position

We are seeking an Industrial Controls Engineer to design, program, and support automation and control systems within a manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, electrical troubleshooting, and supporting new equipment installations and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with industrial automation systems, understands plant-floor operations, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of industrial controls experience in a manufacturing environment
• PLC programming and troubleshooting experience
• Strong electrical knowledge (motor controls, VFDs, sensors, safety circuits)
• Experience commissioning and debugging automation systems

Nice To Haves

• Experience with robotics integration
• Knowledge of servo systems and motion control
• SCADA systems experience
• Project management experience
• Automotive or high-speed manufacturing background

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
• Develop and modify HMI and/or SCADA systems
• Support commissioning and startup of new equipment and automation systems
• Provide advanced electrical and controls troubleshooting for production equipment
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical drawings
• Assist with equipment upgrades, retrofits, and capital improvement projects
• Optimize machine performance, cycle times, and reliability
• Support preventative maintenance strategies related to controls systems
• Work cross-functionally with Maintenance, Production, and Engineering teams
• Ensure compliance with safety and electrical standards
