Requirements

  • 5 years of journey-level industrial maintenance experience (installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial equipment).
  • Ability to read and understand safety protocols and equipment manuals written in English.
  • Ability to read blueprints/schematics and identify/correct causes of equipment failure.
  • Knowledge of low- and high-voltage systems and basic wiring principles.
  • Experience with precision equipment alignment.
  • Hands-on knowledge of fabrication, installation, and maintenance of production and support equipment (arc welders, oxy-acetylene torches, saws, drills, grinders, pumps, engines).
  • Ability to satisfactorily meet testing/training requirements.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting

Responsibilities

  • Apply electrical theory, NEC standards, and material properties to troubleshoot and improve equipment performance.
  • Start up and shut down machinery in accordance with company procedures aligned to OSHA requirements.
  • Use electrical test equipment to locate defects in wiring, switches, motors, and related components.
  • Service electronic equipment by inspecting, testing, and replacing components, circuits, and printed circuit boards.
  • Measure, cut, thread, pull, and install electrical conduit; install conduits, transformers, pull boxes, and switches.
  • Repair and maintain starters, motors, and other electrical apparatus.
  • Fabricate non-standard parts with machine and hand tools common to the trade.
  • Execute running adjustments, plan and conduct repairs and overhauls based on analysis.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls, MCCs, and PLC systems.
  • Design control circuits; install wiring and electrical equipment.
  • Determine project material/equipment needs; read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Coordinate project requirements with Maintenance and Production leadership.
  • Assist in training and upskilling maintenance staff and production operators.
  • Maintain demonstrated proficiency consistent with job standards.
  • Participate in plant emergency response and maintain required certifications/training.
  • Lead by example to reinforce safety programs.
